Anna Kérchy, University of Szeged

Anna Kérchy, PhD, Dr. Habil., DSc, is a full professor of English literature at the Institute of English and American Studies, University of Szeged. Her main research areas include 19th-21st century women’s writing, children’s literature and fantastic fiction, intersections of Victorian and postmodern imagination, gender/body studies, feminist literary theory, posthumanimal studies, inter-/ transmedial aspects of cultural representations. She authored the monographs Body-Texts in the Novels of Angela Carter (Edwin Mellen, 2008), Alice in Transmedia Wonderland (McFarland, 2016), A nő nyelvet ölt [Essays in Feminist Narratology, Aesthetics, and Body Studies] (JATEPress, 2018), and The Poetics and Politics of Victorian Nonsense (Akadémiai, 2025).
