Abstract

Following the publication of the 2020-2022 Hungarian Contributions on American History, Literature and Culture in Vol. 19 (2023) of the Americana e-Journal of American Studies in Hungary, this present compilation aims to survey the evolution of Hungarian research in the wide field of American Studies by mapping the most pertaining articles, books and texts published digitally and print in 2023 and 2024 by our academic colleagues.

Réka M. Cristian, University of Szeged

Réka M. Cristian is Associate Professor, MA Program Coordinator at the American Studies Department, University of Szeged, and founding member of the Inter-American Research Center at the Faculty of Arts, University of Szeged. She is member of the editorial board of the European Journal of American Studies (EJAS), of the Zagreb-based Working Papers in American Studies and of the Cultural Perspectives. Journal for Literary and Cultural Studies, and other journals. She authored Cultural Vistas and Sites of Identity: Essays on Literature, Film, and American Studies (2012), co-authored with Zoltán Dragon Encounters of the Filmic Kind: Guidebook to Film Theories (2008) and is the founding and general editor of AMERICANA: E-Journal of American Studies in Hungary and its AMERICANA eBooks division. Her research interest includes modern American drama, film theories and the American film, as well as theories of American and inter-American Studies.
